PR electronics achieves silver rating in first EcoVadis assessment
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has in recent years become a significant parameter for many companies, when selecting suppliers. PR electronics has been working with a number of initiatives within this field for several years. However, this year the company has worked with EcoVadis in order to achieve formal certification.
The EcoVadis assessment covers four areas: Environment, Labor Practices & Human Rights, Fair Business Practices, and Sustainable Procurement. For all of these areas, a wide range of documentation and information was provided for evaluation by PR electronics during the assessment period.
The results of this process were very positive; however, they also provided goals for next year. “We are very happy with achieving a silver rating in our first assessment,” says Dorte Mundt Andersen, Head of Group Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility at PR electronics. “When looking at all the manufacturers of electrical equipment that have been assessed by EcoVadis, we are in the top 7 %, which we are very proud of. However, this was also a chance for us to see areas for further improvement and we are expecting even better results next year.”
The EcoVadis assessment takes place annually and is highly regarded by many major companies, who expect high standards, when selecting suppliers.
