UK Conformity Assessment (UKCA)

UKCA mark   The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is a new UK product marking that is used for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It covers most goods which previously required the CE marking, known as ‘new approach’ goods.

PR electronics is working with DEKRA in order to obtain the required UKCA certifications. All products must have an available UKCA Declaration of Conformity by January 1st 2022 and thereby have obtained the required certification.

The physical marking on the product is not required to be complete before January 1st 2023.

Non Ex products

For non Ex product PR electronics is allowed to self-declare and the work has already been initiated and will be completed before deadline.

A UKCA Declaration of Conformity will be made available on the PR website and the UKCA logo will be added to the Safety Note initially before being added to the label.

Ex - Zone 2 products (Category 3)

For Ex-zone 2 products DEKRA has initiated the certification starting with the 3000 series. The certificates will be available earliest from September 2021.

A UKCA Declaration of Conformity will be made available together with the UKCA certificate on the PR website and the UKCA logo will be added to the Safety Note and added to the product label.

Ex - Zone 0 & 1 (Category 1 & 2)

For Ex-zone 0/1 products DEKRA must become a notified body before they can initiate the certification (expected November 2021) starting with the products that already comply with the most recent standards.

A UKCA Declaration of Conformity will be made available together with the UKCA certificate on the PR website and the UKCA logo will be added to the Safety Note and added to the product label. These will be available from November 2021 at the earliest and PR electronics strive to get all certificates ready by end of 2021.
