Application
- The 7850 sensor is designed for precise temperature measurement in hygienic and sanitary processes.
- It is ideal for use in the food and beverage industry, as well as the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and chemical / technical industries, where strict hygiene requirements and reliable performance are essential.
- The sensor is suitable for installation in process lines, tanks, and vessels where cleanliness, accuracy, and serviceability are critical.
Technical characteristics
- The 7850 is equipped with a Pt100 thin-film sensor element in accordance with IEC 60751, ensuring accurate, stable, and repeatable temperature measurements.
- It is designed to withstand mechanical and thermal stress according to DIN 43772, providing long-lasting performance in demanding process environments.
- The measuring insert is interchangeable, allowing for quick replacement or calibration without removing the complete sensor assembly from the process connection.
- A unique Quicklock bayonet coupling between the terminal head and thermowell enables the user to easily assemble and disassemble the sensor for maintenance, calibration, or cleaning tasks, minimizing process downtime and ensuring operational efficiency.
- The 7850 sensor system consists of sensor head, interchangeable insert and thermowell with process connection for weld-in, all tied together with the Quicklock system.
- All media-contact parts are made from EN 1.4571 / AISI 316Ti stainless steel, mechanically polished to Ra <0.65 μm, meeting hygienic design standards and ensuring corrosion resistance in food and pharmaceutical applications.
- For easy vessel manufacturing a Quicklock adapter is available to interface with the Quicklock system.
- The sensor is designed to withstand media temperatures up to 250°C, as well as vibration and rapid temperature changes, ensuring a fast response time and stable measurement accuracy.
Electrical connection
- The terminal head is designed for easy access and secure connection, allowing quick disconnection of the measurement insert during service or calibration.
- The Pt100 sensor element with 4-wire configuration provides high accuracy and lead resistance compensation.
- Connection options include PG9 cable gland or M12 connector, depending on configuration.
Options
- Combine with the PR 5300 / PR 5400 series transmitter - we can deliver the transmitter pre-mounted to the sensor.
- Optional ceramic socket available for connection to externally installed transmitters.
- Material certificate, certificate of origin, certificate of conformity and calibration reports can be supplied when ordered together with the sensor.
